Alex Hirsch is a proud graduate of the University of California, the top ranked public university in the world.
Alex earned his Law Degree from the UC Davis School of Law. Also known as King Hall, the students and faculty of the school are dedicated to the ideals of diversity, equality, and justice expressed by the school's namesake, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. During his time at King Hall, Alex studied under the tutelage of the only majority-minority faculty of a leading American law school and developed his legal skills through hands-on experience in law offices and courtrooms. Alex won awards for oral advocacy and legal brief writing at several national moot court competitions, granting him membership in the Order of Barristers honor society. Alex earned his Public Service Law Program Certificate at graduation, cementing his desire to use his legal training to improve the lives of others through a career in public service and volunteering in his community.
Alex earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC Berkeley. A world-famous institution of higher education, UC Berkeley has been home to over 100 Nobel laureates, educated leaders in the fields of Art, Business, and Government, and served as the birthplace of student activism and the Free Speech Movement. As a student at one of the top-ranked political science departments in the nation, Alex learned from a renowned faculty that included published authors and former political leaders. Alex's academic rigor and commitment to excellence resulted in him receiving both the Travers Scholarship in Ethics and Politics and the Regents' and Chancellor's Scholarship, which is the most prestigious scholarship offered by UC Berkeley to undergraduate students. Alex also spent four years as a member of the University of California Marching Band. Also known as "The Pacesetter of College Marching Bands" and "The Pride of California," Alex helped represent the Cal spirit through performances at college games and community events throughout California. Alex graduated with a distinction in general scholarship, highest honors in political science, and membership in the Pi Sigma Alpha honor society.
